Prior to moving into the newly purchased home, the homeowner decided to do a full roof replacement, as it was old and due for removal. VIS Exterior replaced the old shingles with GAF Timberline HDZ architectural shingles. These are quality shingles that are built with LayerLock technology, which includes a special “strike zone” for roofing nails. The shingles also have StainGuard Plus algae protection, providing plenty of assurance that they will perform for years and years and prevent the development of organic growth. The Timberline HDZ shingles also include the patented High Definition shadow bands, which help to create exceptional depth and dimension that provide added curb appeal.
While the architectural shingles have a higher upfront cost due to their rugged construction, which includes more material than cheaper 3-tab shingles, the Timberline shingles are far more attractive. And while enhanced curb appeal adds value, so too does the fact that these shingles will outperform less durable shingles for a longer span of time, which is where homeowners find the most value.
The cedar fascia had also become aged and required replacement, which VIS Exterior was able to skillfully accomplish. Furthermore, VIS Exterior installed 5-in. Gutters and 3x4-in. downspouts.
