The architecture of the home can often dictate which siding products will work best. In some cases, the style of the home requires a single type of siding in one color. But for this Wheaton home, which has a modern look with bold lines and distinctive levels, choosing two different colors of siding made a huge difference. Using a wood tone color under the windows and wrapping the siding around to the windows just around the corner created a distinctive aesthetic that broke up what would be a monotonous situation.
The CertainTeed Restoration Classic D4 vinyl siding in a flagstone siding (grayish) color and the wood tone siding are further offset by choosing a dark color for the soffits. Furthermore, dark-colored gutters that matched the borders of the windows were also chosen. These color combinations perfectly fit the modern style of the home.
At VIS Exterior, our clients have many preferences on the various textures and colors of siding they want on their homes, but we can also provide our expertise to guide them when needed, showing them what will work and why some combinations might not work.
