Like many homes that have had minimal maintenance after four decades in the rain, hail, snow and sun, this one was due for a large amount of exterior work, including a complete replacement of the roof and siding.

VIS embarked on an extensive inspection, finding all areas of the exterior that required attention. We determined which materials would be best suited for the architecture of the home and the tastes of the homeowner. Specifically, we used GAF Timberline shingles and Diamond Kote white siding and trim, both of which are quality materials trusted by contractors throughout the country, but particularly in this region where weather can take a toll on the exterior of a home.

The best place to start on large projects like these is on the roof, where we installed the charcoal-colored shingles. As soon as that phase of the project was completed, our crew removed the old siding and disposed of it, then replaced it with the new lap siding and trim. We also installed aluminum seamless cutters and 3-in. by 4-in. Downspouts.

Upon completion of the project, the homeowner said VIS was the “most professional and hard-working company we have ever dealt with.” The client said VIS transformed the exterior of his 42-year-old home “into a new house!”
