Being flexible and meeting the needs of the customer is an integral part of being a top-quality contractor. This project is a good example of that, as we started this one in 2021 and completed three sides of the home. However, the homeowner needed us to put off completing the project, but called us back in 2022 to finish the front of the home.
For this project, we utilized LP Smartside siding 4 ft. by 8 ft. board and batten siding in canyon brown color, which is a highly durable product. The company invested in plenty of research to come up with a way to make its siding last longer, such as adding additives, including zinc borate, which helps resist damage from termites and fungal decay.
LP Smartside also uses resins, waxes and an overlay that help the siding stand up to the stresses of freezing and thawing, moisture and other elements that can eat away at the life of the siding. This project involved 4 ft. by 8 ft. board and batten siding, which looks great on the home. We replaced the soffit/fascia on the home, as well as the gutters.
