This client in Downers Grove is familiar to the team at VIS Exterior, as we worked on their previous home. When they bought this new property and realized it needed work, they called us in for Cedar shiplap siding installation, as well as the installation of a new roof with GAF Timberline HDZ shingles. The client chose a charcoal color for the shingles and white aluminum gutters with 3 in. by 4 in. downspouts. The siding they chose is an attractive and durable cedar product in 1 in. by 6 in. dimensions.
As usual, we chose GAF shingles for this project, as GAF produces outstanding roofing products. We consulted the homeowner and went with the Timberline HDZ shingles in a weather wood color, which plays perfectly with the new siding, which is cedar 1 in. by 6 in. rough shiplap.
While asphalt shingles are relatively easy to install compared to other types of roofing systems, it takes years of experience to do it correctly.
